Step 1: Download the Tor Browser​

1. Go to the Official Site: Visit the official Tor Project website at torproject.org.
   
2. Select Your Operating System: Choose the version suitable for your operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux).
   
3. Download and Install: Follow the download instructions and then install the Tor browser as you would with any standard software.
   

Step 2: Configure Security Settings​

1. Open the Tor Browser: Launch the Tor browser.
   
2. Access Security Settings: Click the shield icon located next to the URL bar.
   
3. Set to 'Safest' Level: Move the security slider to the highest setting to maximize your safety while browsing. This will disable certain features but provides better security.
   

Step 3: Access the Hidden Wiki​ (Recommended. I like it for its many essential links to get started.)

1. Navigate to the URL: In the Tor browser, enter the following .onion address for the Hidden Wiki: http://zqktlwiuavvvqqt4ybvgvi7tyo4hjl5xg.../Main_Page.
   
2. Explore the Contents: Once the page loads, you can find various links to hidden services and forums available on the dark web.
