The Global Information Divergence Observatory (GIDO) is a research platform designed to measure and analyze differences between information availability, public narratives, factual content, and cultural interpretation across countries and regions.
Rather than determining objective truth, GIDO seeks to quantify how information ecosystems differ, how dominant narratives are formed, and how cultural context influences public perception of events. The system provides a transparent and repeatable framework for studying information environments at global scale.
The project combines distributed data collection, large-scale content analysis, narrative modeling, and cultural interpretation frameworks to generate comparative indicators that can be used by researchers, policymakers, journalists, and civil society organizations.
